Seven designs created by UNT fashion design seniors will be displayed in the TFC’s Student Study Center (ART 259).  The exhibition will be on view from 10/18-11/2.  The opening celebration is scheduled from  4:30-6:00pm on 10/18 with awards at 5:30pm.

The Director of Texas Fashion Collection, Annette Becker will present a lecture at the Emily Fowler Branch of the Denton Public Library on 10/30 at 6:30pm.  It’s titled “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Fashion History in Costumes” and will highlight the history of “princess” costumes, Todd Oldham’s partnership with Warner Bros for the movie “Batman Forever,” the research that went into costumes in the film “Black Panther”.

The UNT Texas Fashion Collection will be hosting an exhibition open house on Saturday, December 2, form 1-3pm, at UNT ArtSpace (1901 Main Street, Dallas) to celebrate “ Sportswear to Athleisure: The Creation of Comfortable Clothing .”  This is a free event that is open to the public and will be the only time the exhibition is open outside of its regular hours of Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am-3pm.
