Did you happen to take a break from your turkey to see the girl-powered machine in the Macy’s Day Parade? GoldieBlox , the girl inventor, made her first debut on the streets of New York City as one of the Macy’s Day Parade’s five newest floats.  As GoldieBlox’s founder, Standford engineer Debbie Sterling, says - "it’s not just a toy, it’s a social mission."  The company is aimed at girls ages four to nine and is centered around Goldie and her friends, who use stories as an instruction guide to build things with their tools.
