One of the things we noticed about fashion month was how pretty the sleeves were. After years of bare arms or straight sleeves, we are finally returning to fashions were sleeves make a statement. This evokes memories of the early 1960's, a time when Americans carried on a love affair with Jackie Kennedy, the British were all agog with Carnaby Street "kicky" styles and everything seemed so sweet and romantic. It was a time when dresses were pretty thanks, in part, to the graceful sleeves that adorned them. Be forewarned.....this post is LONG! (But it is something many of you have been waiting for!) As with all vacations that come to an end, it took me a while to get back in the groove and it's hard to work with a heatwave in progress.
