Position: Design and Development Intern

Company Information: New Wide Group is a fabric manufacturing company focused on primarily activewear knits. Our worldwide set-up includes overseas knitting and dyeing factories in China along with a Research and Development Department in Changzhou. For our Garment Division, we have factories in China, Lesotho, Kenya and Cambodia and branch offices in the US. The Dallas office works on private label development from fabric to garment for companies including Dickies, Dillard's and Academy Sports and Outdoors. Development is across all activewear categories and all genders/ages.

Daily Responsibilities:

Measure samples from fit to production Prepare and pack samples

Data entry into tech packs Detail and color illustrations

Maintain sample room and fabric library Review Lab Dips and bulk fabrications General office tasks

Desired Skills:

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Photoshop a plus

Knowledge of basic construction and patternmaking Microsoft Office Suite

Self-Motivated

Ability to work in a team as well as independently Willingness to learn

Effective communicator
