Industry Week Article Highlights WiM Survey on MFG Day

Our Women in Manufacturing Survey, “The Future of Female Talent in the Manufacturing Sector,"  makes news once again - This time, in an article for Industry Week.

It's a piece put together IndustryWeek Senior Editor Adrienne Selko which makes the case for getting more women into the manufacturing field.  Her evidence?  The WiM survey.  

The article cites some really important facts from our survey: That more than 80% of women in manufacturing say their work is interesting and challenging, and that more than half of women find compensation as a significant benefit of the sector. And at the same time, less than 10% of young women know that manufacturing is an opportunity for them.

It is really important that media sources like Industry Week are drawing attention to what a great sector manufacturing can be for women.  As we know,  lack of awareness is at the root of the gender gap.
